About Pablo

Biography and career
Since I was a child, wood has been a constant presence in my life. I grew up surrounded by it — not just as a material, but as part of my everyday world. My family worked with wood, and from an early age I learned to observe how it was shaped into furniture, objects, and structures. I was fascinated by its scent, its texture, and the way it changed over time.
This early experience awakened in me a curiosity that, over the years, became both a passion and a craft. I learned to work with wood with respect, listening to what each piece had to tell me.
Today, I continue to explore its possibilities, creating pieces that seek a balance between design, functionality, and art. My work is a synthesis of tradition and modernity, of the organic and the geometric, of nature and human intervention.

Philosophy
In a world dominated by mass production, I choose the opposite: the artisanal, the unique. Each of my pieces is unrepeatable because no two woods are ever the same. I don’t pursue perfection, but rather seek harmony between my vision and what the material reveals. I work with carefully selected woods, ensuring sustainability and offering them a second life through the lathe.

The creative process
It all begins with the selection of the wood. On the lathe, the piece gradually takes shape, letting its grain guide the design. Once shaped, it moves to sanding, hand finishing, and final protection — all aimed at enhancing its natural texture and color. I use only mineral oil, without dyes or chemical stains, to preserve the wood’s authentic character.
Each piece has its own rhythm, its own voice. I simply help it come to light. Each work preserves the natural features of the material — such as grain, tones, or knots — which are not imperfections but a reflection of its authenticity.

Inspiration
I’m inspired by nature, organic forms, and the simplicity of well-crafted work. I’m drawn to pure lines, subtle geometry, and the way light interacts with wood. Each piece is born from an idea, but also from a dialogue with the material.
